National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), Thanjavur is organizing seven days training program on โHigh-end workshop on Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Food Processingโ, sponsored by SERB, under Accelerate Vigyan Scheme from 23rd Novโ to 29th Novโ2022.
Dr K.Dhanalakshmi, Head, Dept of Instrumentation and Control Engineering (ICE), NIT-Trichy welcomed the gathering. More than 25 Participants across the country are attending the workshop. Today they visited Dept of Instrumentation and Control Engineering to attend the lecture by Dr. N Sivakumaran, Professor, ICE on the Application of AI in Food Processing Industries, Dr. PA Karthick, Asst Professor, ICE on Deep learning methods in Food Technology and a Hands-on session on Prototype of cost-effective cold storage system under DST-IPHEE jointly by NIT-T and NIFTEM-T by Dr. N.Senthilkumar, Associate Professor, EEE. This prototype of a 2-ton capacity solar-assisted cold storage (PSCS) system was developed at a cost of Rs 1.10 crore with funding from the department of science and technology (DST). They visited various laboratories in the Dept of ICE.
