NIFTEM-T participants under SERB Accelerate Vigyan Scheme visited Dept of ICE, NIT-T โ€“ Hands-on session with a prototype of a 2-ton capacity solar-assisted cold storage (PSCS) system

National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), Thanjavur is organizing seven days training program on โ€œHigh-end workshop on Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Food Processingโ€, sponsored by SERB, under Accelerate Vigyan Scheme from 23rd Novโ€™ to 29th Novโ€™2022.

Dr K.Dhanalakshmi, Head, Dept of Instrumentation and Control Engineering (ICE), NIT-Trichy welcomed the gathering. More than 25 Participants across the country are attending the workshop. Today they visited Dept of Instrumentation and Control Engineering to attend the lecture by Dr. N Sivakumaran, Professor, ICE on the Application of AI in Food Processing Industries, Dr. PA Karthick, Asst Professor, ICE on Deep learning methods in Food Technology and a Hands-on session on Prototype of cost-effective cold storage system under DST-IPHEE jointly by NIT-T and NIFTEM-T by Dr. N.Senthilkumar, Associate Professor, EEE. This prototype of a 2-ton capacity solar-assisted cold storage (PSCS) system was developed at a cost of Rs 1.10 crore with funding from the department of science and technology (DST). They visited various laboratories in the Dept of ICE.
