Tamil voiceover artist Vasanthi R reveals the approach she took to voice Shivagami in Baahubali : Crown of Blood

Disney + Hotstar and Graphic India recently launched animated series of one of India’s fan favorite film franchise, Hotstar Specials’ ‘Baahubali: Crown of Blood’, a story where Baahubali and Bhallaladeva will join hands to protect the great kingdom of Mahishmati and the throne against its greatest threat, the mysterious warlord, Raktadeva

Dubbing for an iconic character like Shivagami from the Baahubali franchise is nothing less than a challenge as the character represents a powerful personality and emotions. Vasanthi R, who lent her voice to in the Tamil dubbed version of Baahubali: Crown of Blood shares details about how she prepared for to dub for the role of  Shivagami

Talking about the same, Tamil dubbing artist, Vasanthi R, said, “My approach to portray Shivagami involved understanding her backstory, relationships, and challenges. It was a great opportunity for me and I worked very hard to convey Shivagami’s powerful personality and strong emotions that are attached to her character. I focused on embodying her strength, determination, and resilience, both physically and vocally. Through research and preparation, I aimed to bring Shivagami to life authentically, capturing her regal presence and commanding authority”
