Adani Foundation sets up Skill Development Centre for fishing community-Thirumalainagar, Lighthouse Panchayat Skilling 240 Women from Lighthouse, Thangalperumbulam, Kottaikuppam and Pulicat-the fishing communities every year in order to support their livelihood.
Chennai: Creating an opportunity for women from the fishing communities to be skilled to be employable and become entrepreneurs. Adani Kattupalli Port through its CSR program aims to provide a platform to skill 240 women in Self-employed Tailor (SET) every year and to empower them to be independent and contributing member in the family. The Skill Centre inaugurated by Mr. Durai Chandrasekar, MLA, Ponneri Constituency, Mr. Waghe Sanket Balwant IAS, Sub Collector, Ponneri, Tiruvallur District, Capt. Madhanmohan, COO, Adani Kattupalli and Ennore Ports, Traditional Leaders, Village Panchayat Presidents, Councilors, Ward Members, and community members.
